JazzFresno, the Fresno County Public Library, KFSR 90.7 FM, and the Woodward Park Friends of the Library will host a virtual edition of Jazz at the Library via Zoom on Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at 7:00 p.m.

Fresno State Professor, educator, composer, and saxophonist Benjamin Boone will discuss Ghana and the music he encountered there during his time as a U.S. Fulbright Scholar, including the making of the album BENJAMIN BOONE WITH THE GHANA JAZZ COLLECTIVE: JOY, which has been in the top 100 playlist for the past seven weeks, #1 numerous times on Amazon’s HOT NEW RELEASES the past seven weeks, and recipient of stellar reviews in Downbeat, JazzTimes, All About Jazz, and many other media outlets.

An email with login information for the Zoom presentation will then be sent to “ticket holders.” You MUST pregegister for the event to receive a ticket and be admitted to the online event.

1. The event is free and online, but you must register to get a ticket. You can do both of those things AT THIS LINK!

3. Don’t wait until the day of to do any of this! We will be sending out a link via email to registered attendees the morning of the event. If you register too late, you might miss it! 

4. This is probably a new thing for you, and it is new for us to! So be as prepared as possible and we will try to make things as smooth as possible!
