JazzFresno, the Fresno County Public Library, KFSR 90.7 and the Woodward Park Friends of the Library will host Jazz at the Library on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at 7:00 PM virtually via Zoom.

Please join guitarist John Albano for a presentation of the jazz guitar styles of Wes Montgomery, Chet Atkins, George Benson, Pat Metheny and others. Jazz standards, blues, bossa nova, as well as original compositions are included in this special video performance. The quartet of musicians features John Albano—guitar, Rick Helzer—piano, John Lauffenburger—bass, and Gary Newmark—drums.

Originally from Sacramento, John Albano is a guitarist, composer, recording artist, and arts educator who currently lives in Merced, California. He is currently the dean of fine & performing arts at Merced College and is the bandleader for the jazz quartet called Akoustics. John has released three albums as a leader: Collage, The Road West and Conversations. He has a MA degree in Guitar Performance from USC and a BA degree in Jazz Studies from Sonoma State.
